Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
* A first point of contact for employees & managers who provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes for the Southampton & a small Cheltenham client group.
* Travel to the Southampton site as needed to provide on site HR support and build strong relationships with employees and leaders.
* Lead and deliver HR initiatives and projects, such as rolling out new policies, conducting employee training, and supporting site-wide organizational design efforts.
* Manage ad hoc HR project work, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
* Handle complex employee relations cases, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and dismissals.
* Provide expert guidance and coaching to People Leaders and Investigators throughout the case management process.
* Support the development of our HR Placement students with projects and case management experience.
* Working collaboratively with the other HR Managers across the Cheltenham HR Team as and when required.
Required Qualifications/ Characteristics
* Generalist HR experience with extensive case management experience.
* Ability to travel to the Southampton site on a regular basis.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Experience of comfortably working in fast paced, demanding roles working to tight deadlines in a complex matrixed organisation.
* Ability to manage multiple projects in tandem.
* Experience of using and analysing data to create proposals and drive decisions
* Proven great communication skills, engaging with all levels of an organisation.
* Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree in HR or Psychology from an accredited university or college with CIPD Level 7 qualification preferable.
Desired Characteristics
* Recognised project management certification.
* Influential Leadership & interpersonal skills to build trust and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
* Experience of utilising Lean methodologies in the HR function.
* Union Relations experience
* Experience of using Workday HR system
