Job description
GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT – SEPTEMBER 2025 START
Prospero Teaching are looking for a Teaching Assistant, to join a lovely school in Bury. This is a perfect role for a Graduate considering applying for teacher training to obtain paid experience in a school. You will be supported by colleagues and management through the year.
The school is a specialist provision which offers a tailored education to young people who need that little extra. There is an extremely supportive cover team and teaching staff, and the sense of team spirit is evident from the moment you walk into the school office. There are robust and rigorous policies in place which are followed to the letter by all staff; there is a common purpose and direction evident for all to see. Students also respond well to the firm direction and leadership from teachers and TA’s.
Whilst experience of supporting young people with behavioural issues is helpful, it is not essential – through regular CPD and ongoing mentoring, our school would be keen to help develop a colleague – all you need is a positive approach, resilience and patience when dealing with young people who need that little extra.
