Job Summary
We are currently seeking a top performing GW Configuration Developer or Lead with hands on experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter, PolicyCenter or Billing Center to join our successful Insurance Practice.
Responsibilities
* Development of the Guidewire application and GUnits to enable TDD
* Work closely with the business analyst in performing a detailed review of business requirements and functional specifications and come up with requirement clarification document for further use.
* Communicate with technical leads and IT groups for understanding the project’s technical implications, dependencies, and potential conflicts. Communicate with project manager on a frequent basis providing the status update.
* Use requirement gathering techniques such as brainstorming, one‑on‑one meetings, group meetings, focus group meetings, direct observation and prototypes to identify the best solution.
* Research issues reported in Production, perform root‑cause analysis and document them. Respond to and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
* Perform versioning of the release updates and resolve code conflicts while merging and promoting the code to higher environments.
* Provide support in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Qualifications
* Insurance domain knowledge with Property & Casualty background
* Hands‑on experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter or PolicyCenter or Billing Center
* Strong knowledge in Guidewire platform (Gosu scripting / UI / Data Model)
* Knowledge on Admin data loading
* Good experience in Assignment and Segmentation Rules, Pre‑update and Validation rules
* Good experience on Authority limits, Financials (checks, reserves, recoveries …)
* Good experience on LOB configuration and related typelists
* Experience on any database Oracle / SQL Server and well versed in SQL
* Experience in SCRUM Agile, preferably Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
* Good written and oral communication
* Excellent analytical skill
