Labourer - Northern Ireland Housing Executive - Newtownabbey An opportunity has arisen to join Northern Ireland Housing Executive in Newtownabbey as a Labourer. In this role, you will support maintenance and operational teams, assisting with a range of manual tasks to help ensure work is carried out efficiently and to a high standard. About the role:
1. £13.05 - £13.47 per hour
2. Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 4.30pm & Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm
3. Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week
4. Holidays: 35 days pro rata
5. Duration: Temporary, ongoing
What you'll be doing in this role:
6. To undertake the full range of general labouring duties and response maintenance and building work on the full range of Housing Executive properties.
7. Domestic waste removal from buildings / roof-spaces / external areas etc.
8. Minor painting duties as required.
9. Power-washing and clearing gullies, gutters, and downpipes as necessary.
10. Cleaning / removal of rubbish from domestic properties and communal areas and stairwells.
11. Assisting in erecting scaffolding.
12. Assisting in the lifting of heavy / bulky rubbish and in the construction or demolition of structures and buildings.
13. Collection and delivery of materials to site.
14. Assisting with groundwork and mixing as required.
What you'll need for this role:
15. 1 year’s relevant experience in a similar role.
16. A full current driving licence, (C1 category desirable). A form of transport will be provided to enable the postholder to carry out their duties.
17. Desirable: CSCS / CSR / SafePass Card.
18. As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position.
