About the Role
As Quality Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of product safety, quality systems, and compliance across the site. You'll lead a dedicated team of Quality Controllers and ensure the site consistently meets BRC, customer, and internal standards.
You'll play a key role in maintaining and improving quality systems, analysing trends, and driving continuous improvement projects that enhance food safety and product performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and develop the Quality Control team to deliver excellence across all areas of site operations
2. Maintain and improve the site's HACCP system and quality procedures
3. Manage the non-conformance database and ensure timely closeout of actions
4. Ensure audit readiness 24/7 and support the Technical Manager during external audits
5. Analyse quality performance data and implement improvement plans
6. Work closely with NPD to integrate new products into the quality system
7. Drive site-wide reduction plans for customer and internal complaints
About You
You'll bring strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and the technical expertise to maintain the highest standards in food safety and quality.
Essential:
8. Degree in Food Science, Quality Systems, or related discipline
9. Proven experience managing or leading a small team in an FMCG environment
10. In-depth knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and major retailer audit standards
11. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
Desirable:
12. Advanced Food Hygiene or Lead Auditor qualification
13. Experience in continuous improvement and use of quality tools
Working Hours
39 hours per week
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 - 5:00
Friday: 8:00 - 1:00
