Your new role
I’m supporting a growing coastal Essex‑based organisation to appoint a hands‑on, standalone HR Manager on an interim basis. Acting as a trusted sounding board to the Director, you’ll play a key role in modernising and strengthening the organisation’s people foundations.
This opportunity will suit a confident HR generalist with essential union experience and strong employment law knowledge, who isfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting the basics right first. You’ll lead a gap analysis of the employee handbook, policies and core processes, while also helping to shape whates next – including career pathways, leadership development, engagement initiatives and elements of organisational design.
Starting this month, this is a part‑time interim role for an initial six‑month period, with the potential to extend. The role is 25–30 hours per week, offers flexibility around working hours, and will require an on‑site presence initially to embed effectively, before moving to a hybrid arrangement if preferred.
