We are looking for an experienced Site Manager (F/H) to represent our client, a major player in the energy sector, at a fabrication yard in the UK.
You will be responsible for overseeing the construction, assembly, and testing phases of structural components for large-scale energy infrastructure projects. You will act as the key client representative on-site, ensuring that the EPCI Contractor's work meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and scheduling.
Your main responsibilities include:
* Represent the Client at the Construction Site (Yard)
- Act as the primary client representative in daily and weekly meetings with the EPCI Contractor.
- Serve as the main point of contact between the site team and the client's project team in France.
- Supervise all interventions by client personnel or external parties on-site.
- Ensure strict compliance with site access and HSE procedures for all staff and partners.
- Oversee HSE conditions, ensuring they are respected by both the client and the EPCI Contractor.
* Monitor the Work of the EPCI Contractor
- Report on all yard operations to the client's Lot Manager, in line with project management methods and guidelines.
- Track and report on the Contractor's performance in terms of Quality, HSE, Cost, and Schedule.
- Identify and report any contractual deviations by the EPCI Contractor.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze and resolve technical issues identified on-site.
* Coordinate Operational Activities at the Yard
- Provide operational management and coordination for all client resources on-site, including third-party inspectors and certification bodies.
- Supervise and coordinate daily work and inspections according to the ITP (Inspection Test Plan), specifications, and standards, liaising with the Site Quality Inspection team.
Your Profile
Required Experience & Skills:
* Significant experience in managing construction work on a yard or shipyard (offshore, naval, or heavy industry).
* Technical background in activities related to steel structure fabrication: welding, painting, and coating for offshore projects (Oil & Gas, Wind Energy).
* Proven ability to defend the client's interests in a complex industrial environment with contractors.
* Strong team management and coordination skills.
* Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
Languages:
* English: Professional proficiency (mandatory, as the site is in the UK).
* French: An advantage for communication with the project team.
