Purpose of Job
Playing a pivotal role in the development team, the Courseware Developer (CD) is responsible for successfully implementing updates to Global ATS course packages, this is achieved by working alongside the training delivery team to understand their requirements, whilst ensuring all quality assurance processes are followed.
The CD must have held ATC licence ratings ideally in ADI, APP, APS and ACS although a combination of these will be acceptable.
Please note, this is not an instructional role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Liaising with the instructional team to identify common development requirements that apply to multiple courses.
* Liaising with lead instructors to identify and agree specific course development requirements.
* Evaluate and impact assess submitted change requests, paying attention to training regulations.
* Coordination and communication of agreed changes promulgated to relevant people.
* Carry out the change following the change management process through to completion.
* Continued liaison with instructional team to ensure key change objectives have been achieved.
* Involvement with the definition and review of the GATS training ethos.
* Maintaining awareness of training system developments that could influence courseware.
Technical Requirements
* Must have held at least one ATC rating.
* International ratings would be advantageous but not essential.
Education and Experience
* A strong working knowledge of ATC regulations.
* Sound knowledge and experience in all Microsoft Office products, especially PowerPoint.
* Confident decision maker.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
* A background in a training environment is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated commitment to high standards of customer service.
* Self-motivated, flexible and able to work independently.
