Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team, managing critical refurbishment projects on 400kV overhead lines within the National Grid Transmission network. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role in delivering high-voltage infrastructure projects that keep the UK's power network running.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage site operations for refurbishment works on 400kV overhead transmission lines.
* Supervise and coordinate a team of up to 30 operatives, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of works.
* Maintain full compliance with National Grid Transmission safety and quality standards.
* Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project plans, timelines, and budget requirements.
* Manage site reporting, including progress updates, safety records, and incident management.
* Liaise effectively with stakeholders including project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
Requirements:
* Proven experience managing overhead line projects, particularly at 400kV level.
* Strong working knowledge of National Grid standards and procedures.
* Demonstrated leadership in managing site teams on live transmission assets.
* Relevant qualifications in construction/site management, health and safety (e.g. SMSTS, CSCS, or equivalent).
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
