About the role
JOB PURPOSE:
In this leadership role, the successful candidate will help set direction and play an active role in the procurement of goods and services, alongside our Procurement team members. They will be responsible for managing a diverse team of admin officers and managers whilst supporting City Services on procurement policies and procedures. Further responsibilities include.
* To provide leadership to the administration team ensuring all vehicle and plant maintenance, servicing & repair work is managed and carried out within specified parameters.
* Responsible for leading on Fleet procurement and for ensuring new business is gained whilst keeping existing customers satisfied.
* Accountable for ensuring compliance with the organisations Fleet policies and procedures, and the Operator’s (‘O’) licence requirements.
* To lead on the Cityclean depot management and to be the Site Responsible Person
* Manage the day to day compliance of the maintained fleet and to assist with the implementation of the fleet strategy ensuring that Brighton & Hove City Council is providing a fleet that is fit for purpose, is maintained in a cost effective manner and meets operational and customer needs.
Additional information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
