Job Description
I am seeking an experienced Fitout Construction Site Manager to join my client's team, overseeing both high-end retail fitouts, shop fitting and fast-track retail projects across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled professional with a strong background in retail/shop fitout who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Taking full responsibility for on-site project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Managing and coordinating subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to maintain efficiency and productivity.
3. Liaising with clients, designers, and project managers to ensure smooth communication and successful project outcomes.
4. Implementing and enforcing health & safety regulations, ensuring compliance with all industry standards and company policies.
5. Overseeing material deliveries, logistics, and site setup, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and in line with the project schedule.
6. Identifying and resolving issues quickly and effectively, adapting to the fast-paced nature of retail fitout projects.
7. Carrying out quality control inspections and ensuring snagging work is completed to the required standard.
Requirements for this role:
1. Proven experience as a Site Manager in retail/shop fitout projects is essential.
2. Strong ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced construction environment.
3. A background in joinery is beneficial, as many of their projects involve high-quality bespoke finishes.
4. Willingness to travel across the UK to manage different sites as required.
5. A full UK driving licence is essential (a fuel card will be provided).
6. Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate teams and maintain high productivity on-site.
7. A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
