We are looking for a dedicated Cook to be part of our skilled catering team. You’ll play a key role in enhancing the dining experience for our residents by preparing wholesome, flavourful meals that are tailored to a variety of dietary needs and preferences.
As a Cook at our home, your role will involve:
* Preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals from scratch in a clean and safe kitchen
* Assisting in managing daily catering operations
* Supporting with stock control and ordering of food supplies
* Maintaining compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
* Contributing to menu planning and ensuring variety and balance
* Supporting the Head Chef and 2nd Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen

*Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in a busy kitchen environment
* Strong passion for creating fresh, home-cooked meals
* Ability to work to dietary guidelines and individual care plans
* Experience in food budgeting and recipe costing
* Excellent team player with a positive, proactive attitude
* Food Hygiene Level 2 (or willingness to undertake training)
