Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Cook. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. Your culinary expertise will contribute to creating delightful dining experiences for our Clients
Duties
* Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu for upto 22 Clients and 5 volunteers.
* Control meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients, managing a small team of volunteers
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations during service.
* Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to ensure guest satisfaction.
* Participate in inventory management, including tracking stock levels and reporting shortages.
* Support the kitchen team with various tasks as needed, including serving dishes during busy periods.
* Ensure that all the dietary requirements of our Clients are met.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of our Client's requirements.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices.
* Previous experience in catering setting is desirable, but not essential
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
* A passion for food and a desire to continually learn and improve culinary skills.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £13.75-£14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
