Overall purpose of role
To support learners across a range of courses in-class in adapting to the academic demands of Further Education. These learners will have specific learning difficulties or disabilities, including Dyslexia, Autism, and ADHD. The support provided includes notetaking in lessons, developing learner organisational skills, and assistance with practical aspects of study such as using the library.
The learner may also need mobility, orientation, sighted assistance, and access support on and around campus. Your role is to provide this support; under no circumstances is it to include personal care. The learner may also be involved in fieldwork in varying weather conditions, such as working outside with learners studying agriculture and animal management courses.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Qualifications
* GCSE Maths and English, C Grade or above
* Educated or studied at Degree level or equivalent
Experience
* Experience supporting disabled people or those with Specific Learning Differences in education and/or the workplace
