Learning Mentor - Level 2

Responsibilities
* Support students’ learning across all subjects, focusing on personal, educational and welfare goals.
* Build secure and trusting relationships with pupils, staff and the wider learning community.
* Develop and implement tailored support plans within the learning mentor programme.
* Collaborate with teachers and support staff to deliver consistent, high‑quality support.
* Participate in regular reviews and progress meetings, providing reflective input.
Qualifications
* Experience working with school‑aged children (or equivalent teaching/mentoring experience).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with young people.
* Interest or experience in Science education is desirable.
* Comprehensive DBS check and knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
* Copy of a valid Key Skills Certificate or comparable qualification (e.g., Level 3).
Working Conditions
Salary: £18,948 – £20,867 per annum (Grade 7, SCP 8‑14). Term‑time only: 30.25 hours per week, 39 weeks a year. Salary is paid in equal monthly instalments and will be reviewed annually.
