Job Summary
This role is within a fast‑paced organisation in the events and creative sector. The HR Manager will support the full employee lifecycle, shape company culture, and ensure HR operations run smoothly. Responsibilities span recruitment, employee relations, development, and strategic workforce planning.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Management
* Create job descriptions and manage end‑to‑end hiring processes across event, creative, production, and operational teams.
* Oversee onboarding and induction to support a positive new‑starter experience.
* Maintain strong relationships with freelance and contract staff, helping to build a dependable talent pool.
Employee Relations & Culture
* Act as a central point of contact for staff queries and HR support.
* Foster a positive workplace culture and coordinate internal engagement activities.
* Manage staff benefits and maintain records including holiday, time‑off in lieu, and overtime.
Performance & Development
* Support managers with performance reviews, progression planning, and regular feedback.
* Identify training needs and coordinate appropriate learning and development opportunities.
Operations & Compliance
* Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with employment legislation.
* Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Workforce Planning
* Work with leadership to plan staffing needs in line with business growth and event schedules.
* Contribute to discussions on organisational structure and future resourcing strategy.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have previous HR generalist experience, confidence to work independently, and the ability to build trusted internal relationships. Experience within a creative, hospitality, production, or event‑driven environment would be advantageous.
