The Role
* Work Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm
* Ensure compliance with UK legislation and customer codes of practices.
* Develop and organise food safety staff training across the business [in conjunction with HR and our external training resources].
* Ensure the QA team does a monthly internal audit and ensure all audits are completed.
* Record all non-conformities and customer complaints.
* Maintain the Quality Management System Manual of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with BRC v9.
* Support the Chair of HACCP and QA Meetings to ensure regular meetings and reviews.
* Support the Technical Manager when on leave.
* Check duties are undertaken by QA Assistant and other staff allocated to support the QA Team.
* Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are maintained at all times inclusive of HACCP.
* Manage plant and product swab and micro testing programme.
The Person
* Need food manufacturing experience in a similar role.
* Need some experience supervising a direct report [1 to start].
* Ideally hold HACCP and Hygiene to level 3.
* Ideally hold Internal Auditing qualification and experience.
* Able to start work earlier or start later one day a week to carry out spot checks. Ref 3460
