Our busy Highways business had a very good year in 2023, and 2024 is shaping up to be even better! We have some exciting schemes coming to fruition which will be mobilising in the next few months. The projects involve highways works, drainage excavations, kerbing, surfacing, concrete works and more. We are a contractor to the highways and transportation sectors delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
We are seeking x2 Site Managers for cover our SDF, Manchester and Yorcivils Frameworks.
One Position will be for the North West covering Warrington/Preston and the other will be for the North East covering Leeds/Darlington. Due to the large region we are looking for people that are willing to travel/lodge away.
Depending on the scheme that you are working on there will be the need to do night shifts.

* Ensure the team work in a safe, profitable, planned manner to achieve the programme and deliver a quality product and service.
* Deliver the project works from start to finish and carrying out safety and quality audits.
* To develop and maintain positive relationships with teams and clients.
* Promote and protect the Octavius Infrastructure reputation whilst remaining customer focused and in line with Company policies and values.
* Lead by example by promoting the collaborative culture throughout the site team, including suppliers and customers.
* Be responsible for safety first culture onsite.

You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
* A Civil, Structural, or Construction Management background on National Highways networks.
* Ideally you'll have worked for a for a tier 1 contracting group with working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, programme and risk management and cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
* Lead a team
* Have worked on a broad section of disciplines such as groundworks, RC structures, steelwork, and building and can demonstrate a clear understanding in these areas.
* Experience of personal responsibility in managing projects up to £10million.
* Good level of programming experience with knowledge of Primavera P6 software or Microsoft Projects (desirable)
* Temporary Works Co-ordinator (desirable)
* Leadership experience (desirable)
Qualifications:
*
o Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience or relevant qualification
o CEng MICE, or equivalent (desirable)
o CSCS Managers card
o Appointed person CPCS card (desirable)
o IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS
