The Role
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality advice on the full range of employment law matters, including:
o Contentious and non-contentious employment issues
o Employment Tribunal litigation
o Advisory work on dismissals, discrimination, whistleblowing, and TUPE
o Senior exits, settlement agreements, and workplace investigations
* Manage and develop client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser
* Generate new business and contribute to the firms growth strategy
* Supervise, mentor, and support junior lawyers (as applicable)
* Contribute to marketing, thought leadership, and profile-raising activities
* Play an active role in firm management and decision-making
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified solicitor in England & Wales
* Significant post-qualification experience in employment law (typically 8+ PQE, but flexible depending on experience)
* Experience operating at partner level or as a senior associate ready for partnership
* Strong technical expertise across employment law
* Proven ability to manage matters independently
* Commercial awareness and a client-focused approach
* Business development experience or a demonstrable interest in developing a practice
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable
* Existing client following
* Experience advising either employers, senior individuals, or both
