Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Stockport (with prior induction in Rochdale)
Start Date: 5th January
Contract Duration: 3-month ongoing contract
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager for an upcoming roofing project (flat roof) at a large distribution centre for a well known Brewery. Once this project is completed, the role will transition to a pub refurbishment project.
Site Manager Responsibilities
* Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the roofing project at the distribution centre, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are met.
* Manage and supervise on‑site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Prepare progress reports and attend site meetings as required.
* Manage the transition to the pub refurbishment project after the roofing work is completed.
* Coordinate and liaise with the client's head office for induction and project follow‑up.
Site Manager Requirements
* SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
* First Aid Certificate
* Manual Handling Training
* Working at Heights Training
* Asbestos Awareness Certification
* Proven experience managing similar projects (roofing, refurbishments)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
