What You’ll Do
Avalara is looking for a Senior Sales Executive to build new business growth across the EMEA region. This is a strategic role focused on acquiring mid‑market and enterprise customers and expanding Avalara's footprint across a constantly evolving tax and compliance landscape.
You will be a consultative seller comfortable engaging with the Office of the CFO and other C‑suite leaders, positioning Avalara's multi‑product tax compliance platform as a necessary enabler of digital transformation and global scale.
Beyond regional expertise, you will have global tax domain knowledge, including U.S. sales and user tax, and understand how emerging technologies—Agentic AI—are transforming automation, accuracy, and decision‑making in compliance management.
Responsibilities
* Drive net‑new revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and closing new enterprise and mid‑market clients across the EMEA region.
* Lead strategic sales engagements with C‑level stakeholders, aligning Avalara's value proposition with their operational and growth priorities.
* Position and sell Avalara's multi‑product suite, including eInvoicing, VAT, sales tax, cross‑border compliance, and other automation solutions, as an integrated compliance platform.
* Demonstrate thought leadership on Agentic AI's role in compliance, helping clients understand how intelligent, autonomous systems can enhance tax accuracy, monitoring, and global scalability.
* Develop territory and account strategies aligned with Avalara's global growth goals and local market opportunities.
* Collaborate with marketing, alliances, and partner teams to drive localized campaigns, nurture the ERP and technology partner ecosystem, and accelerate pipeline growth.
* Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence Avalara's product innovation and go‑to‑market strategies.
* Maintain current knowledge of EMEA‑region tax legislation and international indirect tax frameworks, particularly the U.S.
Qualifications
* Experience with complex, consultative B2B sales within SaaS, ERP, FinTech, or tax technology.
* 5+ years of experience in new business development with consistent quota attainment.
* Experience selling to the Office of the CFO, with executive presence and storytelling skills.
* Deep familiarity with ERP ecosystems and how they integrate with compliance or finance solutions.
* Solid grasp of indirect tax and compliance automation in the EMEA region; stay up to date with industry trends, including U.S. tax.
* Awareness of or curiosity about Agentic AI, its business applications, and how AI‑driven automation is reshaping compliance operations.
* Fluency in English required; a second European language is an advantage.
* Self‑motivated, strategic thinker able to work independently and collaboratively in a global environment.
* Experience contributing to regional marketing and partner strategies is highly desirable.
* This is a hybrid role and you must be commutable to the Brighton or London office.
Benefits
* Competitive compensation package.
* Paid time off and paid parental leave.
* Bonuses for eligible employees.
* Private medical, life, and disability insurance.
