Cook - Part Time (27 Hours per Week) Pay Rate: £13.15 per hour The Best Connection are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and experienced Cook to join a friendly care home team. This is a part-time role (27 hours per week), working on a rota basis between Monday and Sunday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. This is a temp to perm position for the right candidate. About the Role As the Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals for residents. You will be working independently in the kitchen, ensuring all meals meet dietary requirements and are prepared to a high standard. This role forms part of a job share, so flexibility is essential to cover annual leave and absences when required. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and cook meals for residents Ensure all food hygiene and safety standards are maintained Manage stock and kitchen supplies appropriately Cater to special dietary needs where required Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment Requirements Previous experience in a similar cooking role (care environment preferred) Ability to work independently and manage your workload Flexible approach to working hours and holiday cover Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards Please note: This position is subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check, which must be completed prior to starting work.
