The Project
As an experienced Site Manager, you will lead the DWP (Department for Work and Pensions) Fit-Out project in Alfreton, Derbyshire. Your role is crucial in ensuring successful completion by effectively managing resources, upholding quality standards, and ensuring compliance with all pertinent regulations and client specifications.
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
CSCS
SMSTS
First aid
Asbestos awareness It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
Proven track record of successfully delivering various DWP fit out projects
Extensive background within the industry in a Site Manager position or similar, working with a leading construction contractorAdditional skills;
Superb negotiation abilities
Competent IT / software skills
Health and Safety knowledge
Effective communication skills, verbal and written
Ability to organize and manage project schedules
A solid understanding of relevant regulations and standards
Strong leadership abilities, providing support and direction to a team
Knowledgeable of construction processes, techniques, and materials
Sharp attention to detail to guarantee adherence to quality standards and specifications
The Role

Reporting to: Contracts Manager
Duties
Chair regular site meetings
Report directly to Contracts Manager
Supervise and monitor health and safety
Liaise with stakeholders and sub-contractors
Coordinate tasks among various construction phases
Provide guidance and support to project teams, assuring they are motivated and focused
Create and implement a thorough project plan, including milestones, schedules and timelines
Maintain strong relationships with the local community, addressing any concerns within projects
Adjust to alterations in project conditions, unexpected challenges, or modifications in project scope
Mange project budgets and control costs, ensuring all decisions are aligned with financial constraints
Address and resolve any challenges or issues that arise during construction, making informed decisions to keep the project on course
Maintain accurate and detailed records of project activities, changes, and communications for documentation and reporting purposes
Coordinate activities with subcontractors, suppliers, and other external partners to ensure seamless integration into the construction process
Implement site inspections / meetings to monitor project progress, ensure adherence to project plans and specifications
Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders and project teams, to gain a clear understanding of project requirements
