Syme Drummond is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a high-profile FMCG business in their search for a Reward Manager. Based in the Central Belt of Scotland with hybrid working, this is an exciting opportunity to join a values-led organisation that’s modernising and scaling its global reward offering.
What You’ll Be Doing
As Reward Manager, you’ll take the lead on job architecture and market benchmarking, working across 39 global markets. You’ll support the annual pay review and bonus cycles, evaluate and benchmark new and evolving roles using Hay methodology, and provide data-led recommendations that influence reward decisions across the business.
You’ll collaborate closely with HR teams globally, work on policy development, and contribute to the evolution of the organisation’s job family framework and career ladders. You’ll also support benefits and global mobility activities, working alongside third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead job evaluation and sizing using structured methodologies (Hay preferred)
* Conduct global market benchmarking
* Manage and deliver annual pay and bonus review cycles
* Analyse complex compensation data to support business decisions
* Support reward communications and policy advice across regions
* Liaise with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders across 39 markets
* Use and maintain data through bespoke internal systems, Excel (vlookups, pivot tables), and benchmarking platforms
This Role Would Suit Someone Who:
* Has proven experience in a Reward or Compensation & Benefits role
* Is confident using job evaluation methodology – ideally Hay
* Brings strong technical expertise in market benchmarking and data analysis
* Has worked across multiple markets in a global or matrix environment
* Ideally, has experience or interest in benefits and global mobility
* Thrives in a collaborative, people-first culture and enjoys building trusted stakeholder relationships
