Jackson Hogg are proudly supporting a specialist heavy engineering business in the County Durham area, with the appointment of a Quality Manager position. The Quality Manager will have a team of x10 reports and will report into the Site Director. Quality Manager Responsibilities * Lead and manage the Quality Department, developing a high-performing and accountable team culture. * Maintain and continuously improve the company’s QMS in line with ISO 9001 accreditation. * Lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely corrective and preventive actions. * Control traceability and certification, ensuring certificates of testing and conformity accurately reflect product data. * Support supplier quality management, including onboarding assessments and ongoing audit. * Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce scrap, improve yield, and enhance process efficiency. * Collaborate with production, engineering, and customers to resolve quality issues and ensure full compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. * Provide training, mentorship, and development opportunities for quality staff, apprentices and trainees.
