Payroll and HR Officer required for permanent opportunity

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Salary depending on experience

Joining an established Human Resources team, you will support the smooth and efficient delivery of both payroll and HR services. Focusing on accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting. Contributing to essential HR functions, including recruitment, absence management, and employee training and development. The work of this role will foster a supportive and compliant work environment upholding both legal obligations and company policies.

Key responsibilities will include:

1. Ensure payroll processes comply with current employment laws, tax regulations, and company policies.
2. Accurately prepare and process payroll for all employees in accordance with established schedules and company policies.

4. Stay updated with changes to legislation affecting payroll and advise management of any impacts.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, including employee data, pay rates, deductions, and benefits.
6. Respond to employee enquiries regarding payroll, deductions, benefits, and resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly.
7. Prepare and distribute payroll-related reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
8. Collaborate with managers to ensure accurate time and attendance records are maintained and properly integrated with the payroll system.
9. Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and data security when handling sensitive payroll information.
10. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll processing efficiency.
11. Support internal and external audits by providing payroll documentation and explanations as needed.
12. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including advertising job vacancies, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
13. Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition and positive first impression of the company.
14. Provide support and guidance to employees on HR policies and procedures.
15. Act as a point of contact for employee enquiries, addressing concerns and resolving workplace issues fairly and consistently.
16. Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records, including contracts, leave records, and other personnel documents.
17. Prepare HR-related reports and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive employee data.
18. Assist with the implementation and monitoring of performance appraisal processes.
19. Support managers and employees in understanding performance goals and expectations.
20. Provide support to the management team in all aspects of Human Resources.
21. Support and actively engage in group-wide HR weekly meetings and other HR activities to foster collaboration, share best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR strategies and initiatives
22. Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all training activities within employee files and the HR database.
23. Ensure that all internal and external training initiatives are properly documented, approved, and aligned with organisational standards.
24. Assist in the preparation of the annual training plan, conducting regular reviews and updates to meet evolving training needs.
25. Liaise and collaborate effectively with both internal and external training providers to co-ordinate and deliver high-quality learning opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

26. 3rd Level qualification
27. Strong organisational, time management and analytical skills
28. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
29. Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail
30. Excellent knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word
31. Candidates should be IT literate with experience in digital IT, eg, Facebook, Linkedin,
32. Ability to work under pressure and multitasking
