As a 3D developer at Wren, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our innovative 3D technologies, delivering an industry leading experience for our end users of our suite of visualisation tools. Working with other developers, and working closely with the 3D Artist team, you will play a key part in building software that serves our expanding customer base, in an environment that encourages learning and the advancement of your technical skills as a developer. This role offers a unique blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving and collaboration, ideal for anyone passionate about pushing the boundaries of 3D. This role is based on-site in Barton-Upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire. Hybrid options are available, but you will be required to be in head office a minimum of 2 days per week. Main responsibilities: Working independently and proactively to identify potential issues and inefficiencies within our existing 3D systems and pipelines. Staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, and actively contributing to R&D efforts to enhance our 3D capabilities. Contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle. Proven ability to develop complex algorithms and adapt to emerging technologies through ongoing research. Proficient in version control systems (e.g., Git) and experienced in collaborative development environments. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Strong command of written and spoken English, with a passion for clean, standards-compliant code. Desirable Criteria: Experience with VR/AR development and familiarity with retail processes or prior work in retail environments. Strong understanding of automated testing, design patterns, and agile methodologies, including their role in iterative design. Hands-on experience with continuous integration systems and development on Linux or Mac OS platforms.
