A leading City law firm with a well-established and highly regarded employment practice is seeking a talented Managing Associate to join its London team.
The team is recognised for delivering high-quality, strategic advice to a broad client base, including major corporates and senior executives, and offers a genuinely balanced mix of contentious, advisory and transactional employment work.
The Role
This is a standout opportunity for an experienced employment lawyer to step into a senior position within a growing and well-supported team. You will work closely with a small group of highly regarded partners and play a key role across a diverse workload, including:
* Complex Employment Tribunal litigation, with particular emphasis on high-value and sensitive disputes
* Advisory work spanning disciplinaries, grievances, restructurings and day-to-day HR issues
* Transactional support on corporate deals, including TUPE and workforce-related risk management
* Senior executive matters, including exits, negotiations and restrictive covenant issues
* Strategic input on client relationships and ongoing mandates
The role offers a varied practice across litigation, advisory and transactional work, with the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility, develop client relationships and contribute to the broader growth of the practice.
Candidate Profile
* England & Wales qualified
* Typically around 6–10 years’ PQE (guideline only)
* Strong experience across contentious, advisory and transactional employment matters
* Experience handling restrictive covenant disputes would be particularly valuable
* Background from a recognised City, international or strong regional firm
* Demonstrable experience working with high-quality clients and managing complex matters
* Commercially astute, confident and keen to take on a leadership role within a team
