St. Mary’s CE Middle School is a Church of England Middle School in the rural town of Puddletown, for pupils in Years 5 to 8. About The Role
We are excited to be seeking an experienced, dedicated and nurturing SEND Learning Mentor to support our pupils in the classroom and within the wider school community.
Responsibilities
* Leading on the tracking of academic, behaviour and attendance data for pupils with EHCPs and SEND
* Designing and delivering bespoke and impactful interventions to support improved attendance, engagement in learning and behaviour choices
* Supporting pupils to overcome their barriers across all aspects of school life
* Completing administrative tasks using a range of IT programmes to evidence, monitor and evaluate interventions as well as target setting for pupils with EHCPs and SEND
Qualifications
To achieve Grade 7 salary, the successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience of working with pupils with a variety of SEND, as well as evidence of training to support this. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an appropriate subject area is desirable. Candidates must have a good standard of English and Maths.
Employment Details
The role is fixed term, for 32.5 hours per week: 8:30‑15:30, Monday to Friday, term time only. Salary £25,583 – £29,540 per annum. Actual salary £18,834 – £21,747 pro‑rated (Grade 5 – Grade 7, SCP 5 – 14) pay award pending.
