About Camborne House Camborne House is a specialist long-stay home providing care for children with a range of learning disabilities. Our aim is to create a nurturing environment where children can develop the skills and confidence, they need for day-to-day life. We support children with emotional well-being, health, and social needs, tailoring our care to meet their individual requirements. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who has experience of working as a cook. You will receive full support, ongoing training, and development opportunities. The Residential provision is a 24hr service, applicants for these roles will be expected to work shifts, weekends, and bank holidays. This is a part time role working 18.5 hours per week. The salary will be pro rota'd. Responsibilities : Meal planning, food preparation and cooking Health, safety and hygiene Supporting the children’s dietary needs Inventory management and record keeping Teamwork and engagement Cultural sensitivity, food aversions and sensory challenges About you: Experience working as a cook. Strong organisation and time managements skills. Excellent communication skills. A compassionate and patient approach, with a commitment to providing a high-quality service.
