HR Administration Assistant (Temporary)
Fully onsite – Ossett
£ p/hour Mon-Fri
Enhanced DBS required

Here at Hays, we are supporting a leading educational trust for the recruitment of a temporary HR Administrator. This role will be based in Wakefield, and you will be joining a busy central HR team. This temporary role is ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in HR. You’ll support the wider HR function with recruitment, onboarding, data management, and general HR admin tasks.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience and a genuine interest in HR and thrives in a busy environment with the ability to manage their own workload.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide confidential and accurate administrative support across the HR team.
2. Maintain recruitment trackers, post job adverts, and manage applications.
3. Prepare recruitment brochures and shortlisting packs.
4. Assist with employment contracts and changes to terms.
5. Manage the HR inbox and respond to routine queries.
6. Support onboarding and leaver processes, including system updates.
7. Input and retrieve data using HR systems ( Bro).
8. Attend meetings and take minutes as required.
9. Ensure GDPRpliance and always maintain confidentiality.
Experience required
10. Strong administrative experience in a busy environment.
11. Interest in HR and supporting people-related processes.
12. Excellent written and verbalmunication skills.
13. Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
14. Confident using Microsoft 365 and HR systems.
15. Previous HR experience is desirable
