We\u2019re Hiring: A Primary School Cook!
Location: Old Fletton Primary School - Peterborough
Hours: 40 per week, term time only plus 2 days
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Grade 6, points 7 to 12 (£13.26 to £14.36 per hour, approx. £23320 - £25259)

Role
What you’ll be doing:
* Preparing tasty, nutritious meals for our pupils and staff
* Creating menus that meet healthy eating standards and are child-friendly
* Maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment
* Managing food orders and kitchen supplies
* Working closely with our team to create a warm, welcoming lunchtime experience
* Leading & managing the staff in the kitchen to meet busy deadlines and schedules
What we’re looking for
* A positive attitude and a love of cooking for others
* Experience in a kitchen or catering environment (school experience is a bonus!)
* A good understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations and have the relevant qualifications
* Someone who enjoys being around children and working as part of a team
* Someone who works well under pressure and with tight deadlines/schedules of service

Old Fletton Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
An enhanced DBS check will be required as the post will involve regulated activity. The appointment will also be subject to satisfactory medical checks and two suitable references. References will, ideally, be taken up for shortlisted candidates prior to interview. We may also complete online checks following shortlisting.
