An exciting operational management opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly motivated individual to lead the Catering function at Prince Philip General Hospital and community sites within the locality.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive, and experienced operational manager to be responsible for the delivery and management of Catering Services.
Main duties of the job
The postholder will be responsible for the operational management and delivery of high quality, cost-effective Catering Services throughout the locality. This includes ensuring that all aspects of catering services are delivered in accordance with all Food Safety and Food Hygiene statutory requirements.
They will have lead responsibility for operational management and direct input into the strategic management of Catering Services.

o Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
* City + Guilds 706/1+2 or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of procedures and practices related to food services, safety regulations, and staff management, acquired through professional catering qualifications to degree level or equivalent experience.
* Understanding of catering practices, legislation, and statutory obligations, including The Food Hygiene Regulations 1995.
* Knowledge of computer programmes, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Train the Trainer/PGCE qualification or equivalent.
Experience
* Experience in supervisory roles in large-scale catering.
* Proven track record managing diverse catering operations.
* Ability to work independently to achieve results within tight deadlines and budgets.
* Experience in managing and leading staff.
* Experience managing budgets and strategic operations.
* Previous experience in the public sector and involvement in change management initiatives.
Language Skills
* Welsh speaker (Level 1).
