The Next Step Trust is proudly celebrating 20 years of supporting young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities, complex health needs and autism. We are seeking a proactive HR and People Development Manager who is passionate about developing and supporting our team, ensuring our people are empowered to advance our charitable mission, and who is equally committed to strengthening and growing the charity as a whole.
Salary: £42,000 - £44,000 FTE (pro rata for part-time) per annum
Hours: Open to 37.5 hours or 30 hours a week to suit the right candidate. Primarily site based role with some flexibility to work from home
Duties include (but aren't limited to):
* Lead and deliver the Trust’s people strategy, working closely with the Leadership Team and Trustees.
* Advise and influence senior leaders on all aspects of HR, policy, culture and workforce planning.
* Ensure legally compliant, fit-for-purpose HR policies, including GDPR oversight and SAR management.
* Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, providing expert guidance on disputes and conflict resolution.
What we want from you:
* A formal qualification in HR
* A minimum of 3 years relevant operational HR experience at a senior level
* Being up to date with employment law and current legislation
