Are you a skilled HGV2 driver with a hands-on approach and a knack for maintenance? We’re looking for a reliable and proactive HGV2 Driver & Handyman/Stores Operative to join our team, supporting vital depot operations for the local authority.
Responsibilities
* Drive gritters and other local authority vehicles between depots
* Carry out general maintenance and handyman duties around the depot
* Manage stores inventory and ensure stock levels are accurate
* Order and collect vehicle parts and supplies as required
* Assist with depot organisation and upkeep
Requirements
* A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
* Previous experience in a driving or stores/maintenance role preferred
* Good organisational and record-keeping skills
* A positive, flexible attitude and ability to work independently
* Basic maintenance or handyman skills
