Freelance Site Manager – Hospital Interior Refurbishment (Immediate Start)

We are urgently seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee the interior refurbishment of a live hospital radiography department. This is a technically demanding environment that requires strong leadership, excellent coordination skills, and previous experience working within clinical or imaging-suite refurbishment settings.
The Project
You will be responsible for managing the internal refurbishment of an active medical imaging department, including:
* Full interior redecoration
* Installation of new suspended ceilings
* Overseeing mechanical and electrical upgrades, including ventilation and services integration (common in healthcare refurbishments)
* Coordinating specialist trades throughout the fit out of a clinical unit, including compliance-led alterations, infection-control considerations, and equipment-ready spaces (typical requirements in hospital refurbishment projects)

Key Responsibilities
* Daily management of all site activities
* Coordination of subcontractors across decoration, ceilings, M&E, and specialist clinical fit-out works
* Ensuring strict adherence to hospital protocols, infection control measures, and safety standards (critical in healthcare fit-outs)
* Programme management, short‑term planning, and daily reporting
* Working closely with estates, clinical teams, and project consultants
* Maintaining excellent communication in a sensitive, patient‑facing environment
Experience Required
* Previous experience managing refurbishment projects within hospitals
* Proven track record delivering high‑standard interior refurbishment projects
