About the role
We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for a Technologist within our Technical team.
This role will see the successful candidates deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced, quality products for their area, always focusing on our customers and demonstrating value-led behaviour.
This position would suit someone with relevant experience/qualification(s) with the ability to deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced products to the customer.
Main Responsibilities
8. Risk assessing products to be safe, legal, responsibly sourced and meet the Booker rules & policies.
9. Supporting and delivering the technical aspects of the product development critical path.
10. Supporting the delivery our responsible sourcing agenda across the supply base.
11. Managing my products to always be great quality through on-going monitoring and improvements.
12. Supporting the management of risk in our supply chains, from source, ingredients and raw materials, processing, manufacturing and Booker routes to market. (safety, business & reputational risks)
13. Supporting the supplier strategy, ensuring we use the best suppliers & sources.
14. Supporting the development of supplier capability through collaborative engagement, setting clear goals and measuring progress through Joint Quality Plans (JQPs) in place with all relevant suppliers.
15. Responding to complaints and incidents quickly and effectively, ensuring stakeholders are aware and relevant action is taken to protect customers and Tesco.
You will need
16. Relevant degree/qualifications in related area
17. Practical experience of working in the food industry
18. Demonstrable & relevant product knowledge to deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced products to the customer
19. Knowledge of manufacturing processes
20. Good Communication skills
21. Attention to detail skills
