Position: Groundworks Site Manager Rate: Negotable Location: DIRFT – Junction 18, M1 Start Date: ASAP Sector: Groundworks / Civil Engineering We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Site Manager for our project at DIRFT (J18 of the M1). This role sits above the Site Supervisor and requires someone confident in overseeing groundworks operations, ensuring project compliance, quality assurance, and maintaining all required Health & Safety documentation. You will be responsible for managing day‑to‑day site activity, completing QA, ensuring H&S compliance, maintaining paperwork, and updating project records via WhatsApp and email. Key Responsibilities * Oversee day‑to‑day site operations on a busy groundworks project * Work above the Site Supervisor, providing direction, support and oversight * Complete all required QA documentation to company standards * Ensure full Health & Safety compliance, including RAMS, permits and site audits * Maintain accurate paperwork and record‑keeping processes * Update site records through WhatsApp groups and email * Liaise with management, subcontractors and suppliers to coordinate workflow * Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and to specification Required Certifications * SMSTS (Essential) * First Aid at Work (Essential) * Temporary Works Supervisor or Coordinator (Essential) * Lifting Supervisor (Ideally) * EUSR 1–2 (Ideally) * EUSR 3–5 (Ideally) Required Experience * Strong background in Groundworks / Civil Engineering * Proven experience managing teams on live construction sites * Confident handling H&S compliance, quality assurance and documentation * Strong communication skills and ability to issue clear instructions * Comfortable using WhatsApp and email for daily reporting For more information on this Groundworks Site Manager role, please apply online
