Contact Supervisor Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Supervise, observe, and assess contact sessions in accordance with NACCC Standards for Supervised Child Contact, ensuring the safety, welfare, and best interests of the child at all times. • Provide appropriate support and guidance to children, parents, and family members before, during, and after contact sessions. • Deliver a range of contact services, including supervised contact, extended or external contact, indirect contact, supported handovers, and family support or educational work, as required. • Monitor interactions and take appropriate safeguarding action where concerns arise, including intervening and terminating contact sessions when necessary to protect the child. • Maintain clear, accurate, and contemporaneous case records and contact notes to inform professional decision-making regarding the progression of contact. • Complete all administrative duties associated with contact delivery, ensuring strict confidentiality and compliance with data protection legislation. • Prepare factual, balanced, and evidence-based reports for courts, local authorities, and other professionals when required. • Participate in service evaluation processes, including feedback from children and families, monitoring, and quality assurance activities. • Attend planning meetings, reviews, supervision sessions, and other professional meetings as required. • Liaise effectively with social workers, legal professionals, and other agencies, representing the service in a professional and impartial manner. General Duties • Complete all mandatory training, including safeguarding and induction, in line with NACCC requirements. • Attend staff meetings and team meetings at agreed locations, including Head Office where required. • Work in accordance with all organisational policies, procedures, and codes of practice. • Maintain awareness that all records and observations may be disclosed in court proceedings and that the role may require attendance at court to give evidence.
