HR Administrator – Corby
£26,000–£28,000 | Full-Time | On-Site
If you’ve ever worked in HR admin, you’ll know it’s not all about “strategic partnering” and “transformational culture change.”
It’s about the detail. The paperwork. The people. And the hundred tiny things that keep a business running smoothly.
This role is exactly that — the glue that holds the HR function together.
You’ll be the go-to person for everything from onboarding new starters to making sure payroll has the right info, managing absence records, chasing probation reviews, supporting recruitment, and keeping the HR systems up to date.
What you’ll actually be doing:
* Managing starters, leavers, contracts, right-to-work checks, and inductions.
* Keeping HR records and systems accurate and up to date.
* Supporting payroll with the right information, right on time.
* Helping with recruitment — scheduling interviews, managing adverts, and sending offers.
* Tracking absence, welfare checks, and health surveillance.
* Getting involved in engagement activities — birthdays, long service awards, free food days, and the occasional company event.
* Supporting HR projects, audits, and performance processes.
* Basically being the person everyone in the business relies on to get things done.
What you’ll need:
* Around 12 months’ experience in an HR admin or similar role.
* Confidence dealing with colleagues at all levels.
* Great attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
* A proactive, can-do attitude — someone who sees what needs doing and just gets on with it.
* Comfortable with Microsoft Office and HR systems (bonus points for manufacturing or fast-paced environments).
What’s in it for you:
* £26,000–£28,000 salary (depending on experience)
* The chance to build your HR career in a hands-on, supportive environment
* A role where your organisation, accuracy, and people skills genuinely matter
* A friendly, down-to-earth team who appreciate someone who gets things done
