Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced cook who is able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a small team. The applicant will work under our Food & Beverage Manager, joining a team comprising of our cook and two bar/waiting staff. This role is in addition to these members of staff.
The applicant must be able to work alone in the kitchen preparing hot and cold meals and snacks, cake baking, serving food to customers tables, clearing tables and some work behind the bar serving coffee and bar drinks. The applicant must have a current Food & Hygiene Level 2 Certificate and be able to keep a clean and tidy kitchen to EHO standards.
The applicant will be expected to work four days on a 7-day week rota. On occasions this may be increased to cover annual leave and large events taking place at the Club. Starting times may be 8am or 9am depending on the day of the week and time of the year. Finishing times will differ but in the main our cook would finish at 5pm on days where we do not have pre-booked meals..
Our catering service is mainly breakfast and lunch as we do not offer an evening menu, our Clubhouse is locked by 8pm during the season and closes earlier as the nights draw in.
Due to the nature of our business we require flexibility for days and hours worked over a seven day week rota. There will be more hours to cover in the golfing season with less during the winter months, averaging 30 hours per week during a full calendar year.
