Role: Senior Calypso Developer – Derivatives
Location: Sheffield, UK (3days/Week Onsite)
Duration: 6Months +

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Calypso Developer (8+ years) to join our team and support the strategic rollout of Calypso as a core platform for Derivatives. The role is critical in delivering solutions to operational users and clients within a follow-the-sun support model.
Key Responsibilities
Support the implementation and roll-out of new product types within Calypso.
Drive systems integration and client onboarding activities.
Assist with testing and quality assurance, both internally and with clients.
Design and deliver solutions tailored to Derivatives, Pricing, and Collateral operations.
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and add real business value.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet project objectives.
Key Skills / Experience
Strong experience with Calypso platform (8+ years preferred)
Proficiency in Java, SQL, and Linux.
Hands-on experience with Java Spring framework and database management systems.
Knowledge of automated testing tools and CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Ansible).
Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and DevSecOps practices.
Familiarity with Derivatives, Pricing, and Collateral Management.
Strong communication and organisational skills to interact with business and technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
Experience working in banking/financial services environments.
Prior exposure to client onboarding and global support models.
