Job Role:
* Overseeing the work of all the different trades and contractors on site
* Coordinating with the project manager or client to ensure that the project is progressing according to plan
* Managing the project budget and schedule
* Ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed
* Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise
* Communicating with other managers and employees to ensure the project is on track
* Conducting regular site inspections to ensure that all work is carried out to the required standards
Requirements:
* Within the UK Construction Industry Site managers require SMSTS, the industry wide recognised site management safety training scheme.
* Relevant CSCS card, First Aid at Work, UK driving licence, HNC or above within construction
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and direct a team effectively
* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions on the job
* Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and competing demands
* Good organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively
* The ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines
* Good understanding of construction processes and building regulations
* Site Managers are expected to have a good understanding of construction processes and building regulations.
