HR Administrator- 6 Months Fixed Term
Salary- Job Family 1 ( £28,146 pro rated)
Location- East Sussex Fire & Rescue Headquarters, Church Lane, Lewes, BN7 2DZ
We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to join the People Services team at East Sussex Fire and Rescue. This role provides essential administrative support across a wide range of HR activities, helping to ensure our people processes run efficiently, accurately and in line with service values.
Objectives and Responsibilities
The HR Administrator will support the delivery of HR services by maintaining accurate records on HR systems, coordinating recruitment activity, assisting with producing reports and data, and drafting day-to-day HR correspondence. You will work closely with HR colleagues to support the full employee life-cycle process, appropriately manage confidential documentation, respond to HR and recruitment queries, and provide flexible administrative support as priorities evolve within the team.
Requirements
You will have experience working in a busy administrative environment, with strong organisational and IT skills and a high level of attention to detail. You will be confident communicating professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, have the ability to manage competing priorities, and comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information. Experience in an HR setting and knowledge of HR systems is desirable but not essential, as training and support will be provided.
