Overview
Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you are responsible for a variety of Technical Services activities supporting the Technical Department to ensure legality, safety, and compliance, while collaborating with the NPD and Sales Teams to support successful product launches. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the compliance of our products and delivering excellent technical service to existing and new customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Generate new customer specifications and complete customer portals with all requirements.
* Respond to technical customer service queries in a timely and professional manner and support key customer accounts as required.
* Sign off artwork in accordance with legal requirements.
* Participate in the new product development process, ensuring full compliance with technical standards.
* Cover the generation of labels in the absence of NPD and project coordinators.
* Support and manage NPD, trials and sample processes, including shelf‑life validation processes.
* Carry out monthly traceability and mass balance audits.
* Act as a member of the internal audit team, performing assigned audits.
* Maintain the Food Safety & Quality Management System.
* Prepare weekly export documentation and lead Vet visits.
* Assist with external audits for traceability/mass balance, supplier approval and other areas as required.
* Support and action non‑conformances and corrective action plans.
* Support customer COP requirements and gap analysis.
* Deputise for the Technical Services & Compliance Manager as required.
* Implement new processes in alignment with the EFSQMS.
* Complete complaint investigations via the non‑conformance process.
* Build strong relationships with wider teams.
* Perform additional tasks as required.
The Ideal Candidate
* Food‑related qualification or relevant industry experience.
* Experience working within a compliance‑driven environment – British Retail Consortium (BRC).
* Knowledge of food legislation.
* Legal labelling trained to approval of labels and artwork.
* High levels of attention to detail.
* Food Safety Level 3.
* HACCP Level 3.
* Internal audit qualification.
* Strong understanding of microbiology and nutrition.
* Minimum three years of experience within a similar FMCG role.
* Understanding of the operational side of food manufacturing.

Working Hours
* 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
