Location: Dalbeattie Learning Campus
Salary: £12,613.67 - £13,672.08
Working hours: 22.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday), 38 weeks per year. Working times will be discussed at interview.
Department: Facilities Services (Catering)
We are seeking a Cook 1 (General Catering Assistant) to assist the Catering Manager at Dalbeattie Learning Campus with general catering tasks related to school meals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Light food preparation
* Serving meals
* Setting up and decanting the dining room
* Setting up the service area
* Cash handling as required
* Dishwashing and general kitchen duties
* Clearing down and cleaning kitchens and staff rest areas
* Carrying out electronic paperwork
Experience is not necessary; full training, including Basic Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness, will be provided.

This position is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment from Dumfries and Galloway Council.
