Learning Mentor | Role Overview: As a Learning Mentor, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students across a range of abilities, ensuring they are engaged, motivated, and progressing in their learning. You will work both 1:1 and in small groups, helping students overcome academic or social challenges, and promote a positive learning environment. Learning Mentor | Key responsibilities include: Providing academic support across various subjects, assisting students with their learning and encouraging independent study. Offering mentoring and guidance, helping students with personal development, confidence-building, and goal setting. Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, creating a safe space for them to engage and thrive. Liaising with teachers, SENCOs, and other staff to ensure each student receives the support they need to succeed. Monitoring progress and providing feedback to help drive continuous improvement. Learning Mentor | What We're Looking For: Previous experience working in an educational setting, ideally as a Learning Mentor or in a similar role (e.g. TA, SEN support). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff. A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting students' individual needs. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. A passion for education and supporting students to achieve their full potential.
