🚨 Interim Employment Counsel – 12 Month FTC | Director or SVP Level | London (Hybrid)
We’re working with a leading global financial institution seeking an experienced UK employment lawyer to join their London-based legal team on a 12-month maternity cover contract, starting mid-June 2025.
đź’Ľ The Role
Acting as a key advisor to the UK-based Markets and Services business lines, you’ll provide strategic and day-to-day employment law support across the full employment lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding through to performance, disciplinary, and redundancy matters.
Key responsibilities include:
* Advising business and HR stakeholders on UK employment law and best practices
* Drafting and negotiating employment-related documentation
* Managing employment litigation with support from external counsel
* Reporting to the Global Head of Employment Law (based in New York)
📍 Location: London (hybrid working – 3 days in office)
🎯 Level: Director or Senior Vice President (SVP) equivalent

👤 Who we’re looking for
An England & Wales qualified solicitor with mid-to-senior level experience advising on complex UK employment law issues, ideally gained in-house at a financial institution or in private practice. Strong stakeholder management and a pragmatic, commercially minded approach are key.
