HR Administrator
We are recruiting for an HR Administrator on a maternity cover contract of up to 12 months, working 35 hours per week in London (with a minimum of four days in the office after induction), starting as soon as possible, with a salary of £30,507 per annum and subject to a standard DBS check, reporting to the HR Manager.
We're seeking an organised, proactive HR Administrator to join our client's HR team and provide comprehensive administrative support across the full employee lifecycle. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to all areas of HR in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for the HR team, you'll handle a wide range of queries from staff, managers, volunteers, and contractors. You'll be responsible for coordinating recruitment campaigns, managing onboarding processes, maintaining HR records, and supporting employee relations, benefits, learning & development, and wellbeing initiatives.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating the recruitment process from drafting adverts to organising interviews and pre-employment checks, preparing contracts, onboarding documentation, and induction schedules for new starters, managing staff changes, leaver processes, and absence monitoring, maintaining accurate employee and volunteer records on the HR database, and supporting payroll preparation and HR projects.
About You
To succeed as an HR Administrator in this role, you'll need:
* Strong administrative skills, ideally gained in a busy HR charity enviorment.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work methodically to tight deadlines.
* Confident communication and customer service skills when liaising with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proficiency with MS Office and experience using HR systems (knowledge of Canva would be a bonus).
* An understanding of confidentiality and data protection within an HR context.
