Summary
Walker Children's Club is seeking an experienced Cook to join our team in the Enfield area. Based at our childcare and educational facility, this role is vital in preparing nutritious meals that support the health and well-being of the children we serve. Join us in creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook nutritious meals suitable for children in accordance with dietary guidelines.
* Ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times.
* Collaborate with staff to plan menus that meet nutritional and developmental needs.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
* Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
* Support a positive dining environment for children.
* Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling.
* Adapt recipes and meal plans to accommodate special dietary requirements.
* Qualifications
* Food Safety and Allergen Training Level 3
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a childcare or educational setting.
* Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
* Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
* Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to adapt menus for dietary restrictions or allergies.
* Previous experience working with children or in a similar role is desirable.

Pay: £25.00-£30.00 per hour
